ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Stearns History Museum is hosting a community discussion on the history of racially restrictive covenants and housing segregation in Minnesota.

The event will be on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You will watch a locally produced doscuseries on racial covenants in Central Minnesota and participate in a hands-on transcription session of Stearns County deeds, led by members of Mapping Prejudice at the University of Minnesota Libraries.  If you go, you are asked to bring a laptop or other device.

It is co-sponsored by the Great River Covenants Project, Mapping Prejudice, and St. Cloud State University.  It is free and open to everyone.
