Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Patricia “Pat” Sauer, age 86, of St. Cloud. Pat passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Cloud. The Rev. Greg Leiser will officiate and entombment will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Pat was born April 5, 1930 in St. Cloud to Leonard & Eleanor (Graham) Sauer. She grew up in the St. Cloud area and moved to Bakersfield, California. Pat received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services from Cal Poly Pomona, California. She was employed for 25 years for Los Angeles County as a building inspector until her retirement in 1993. Pat moved back to Minnesota following her retirement. It was very important to be closer to family. She walked strongly in her faith and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud. While living in CA, Pat sang with the Sweet Adeline’s, a barbershop singing group. She was an avid sports fan, specifically rooting for the Twins and Vikings. Pat was independent, conservative, quiet, but quite reflective. Most importantly, Pat loved spending time with family, especially during their annual get together at the lake. Her mothering heart was shared with her many nieces and nephews.

Pat is survived by her siblings, Mary Ann Mitchell of Albany, John (Margie) Sauer of Houston, TX, David (Joyce) Sauer of Brookfield, WI, Kay (Ron) Brown of Sauk Rapids, Owen (Bev) Sauer of Marietta, GA, Rita (Richard) Tester of Eagan, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gerald and Charles, nieces Jyl, Michelle, and Peggy Sauer, and brother-in-law, Emmett “Pete” Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the “best of the best” Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Cloud.
