Marian R. Illies, 79, Paynesville

April 10, 1936 - December 1, 2015

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Marian R. Illies, age 79, of Paynesville. Marian passed away December 1, 2015 at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Entombment will take place in the St. Louis Parish Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday both at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. A rosary will be led by St. Louis Christian Women and Catholic United Financial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church.

Marian was born on April 10, 1936 to Edward and Anna (Faber) Illies in Greenwald, Minnesota. She worked at the Melrose Hospital and later the Paynesville Hospital as a Dietary Aide for 36 years. She was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville where she helped her brother Jerome with church and grounds maintenance. She was also a member of St. Louis Christian Women and Catholic United Financial.

Marian is survived by her brothers Jerome Illies of Cold Spring, Alcuin Illies (Carol Murray) of St. Cloud, sister Ione (Wally) Meemken of Richmond, nephews Leon and Terry (Tyna) Meemken and niece Shelly (John Zimmerman) Meemken.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents.
