Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Lucille E. Tischbirek, age 85, who passed away Friday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7PM Monday at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. Parish prayers will be 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

Lucille was born Nov. 10, 1929 in Duelm to Tom & Amelia (Balder) Kampa. She married George Tischbirek on Nov. 26, 1946 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm. Lucille lived in the Sauk Rapids area most of her life and worked as a waitress at the Americana Inn and the St. Germain Hotel for 40 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Monica’s Society. She was a member of the Sauk Rapids VFW Post #6992 Auxiliary and volunteered at the food shelf, St. Cloud VA and the VFW. Lucille was very religious and loved to garden, enjoyed the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and playing cards, especially 500, Crazy 8 and cribbage.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Tischbirek of Duelm, sisters and brother, Laura Brennan of St. Cloud, Vernon Kampa of Maple Grove and Carroll Kampa of Coon Rapids; and grandchildren, Heather, Greg, Jenny and Becky. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sons, Roger and George, Jr.; sisters, Loretta Bologek, Dorothy Macho, Esther Anderson and Mabel Stotesbery; and brothers, Ervin, Felix and Louie Kampa.

Memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice.
