SARTELL -- Sartell officials were presented another draft of the city's 2016 budget and levy during tonight's (Monday) city council meeting.

The preliminary budget is around $6.3-million, which is about $1.3-million more than last year.

City Administrator Mary Degiovanni says the main focus on the 2016 budget is on city-wide projects such as streets and public safety and includes the addition of four more staff members, two of them in the police department.

The levy is set for $5.59 million, which is about a 4% increase.

Degiovanni says more refined estimates and additional cuts will be done before the final budget adoption in December.
