Joseph P. Schlagel, 46, Lino Lakes

Joseph P. Schlagel passed away January 25, 2016 at the age of 46. He was born June 20, 1969 in Fridley, MN. He was a Columbia Heights HS graduate of 1987 and more recently a resident of Hastings, MN. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward. He is survived by his mother, Pam; brothers, Kurtis (Cathy) and David; beloved son, Henry; niece, Joanna; nephew, James; and many relatives & friends. Joe struggled with alcohol most of his life and it affected his health greatly. He was a charming person who could strike up a conversation with anyone and he really loved to golf! Joe is finally at peace now and will be sorely missed. Service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 801 6th St. S. in Princeton, MN. Visitation will be at 12:30 PM. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family or a charity of your choice.
