Jim was born October 19, 1953 in St. Cloud to Anton and Sylvia (Jaeger) Bauer. Jim moved to Waite Park at the age of one year and remained living in Waite Park throughout his life. Jim worked at Red Owl for much of his teenage and adult life. After Red Owl closed, he was employed by Coborn’s Inc. working at Cash Wise and Little Dukes for a number of years. Jim was presently employed at Anderson-Crane Company as a warehouse person. Jim was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park, Waite Park Legion 428 SAL (Sons of the Legion), Order of Eagles. Jim loved to take trips to the casino, and playing pull-tabs. He had a love for Chevrolets and taking care of his yard. It was Jim’s goal to keep his yard mowed, neat, clean, and free of falling leaves. As a teenager, Jim and a group of his buddies played in a band for approximately ten years. He enjoyed sports; especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins; Jim also had a passion for Nascar, his number one driver being Jimmy Johnson. Jim was a kind, considerate man, who took his mother to church every Sunday. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends but was always ready to go home and relax! He will be dearly missed.

Jim is survived by his mother, Sylvia; siblings, Ken (Jill) Bauer of Waite Park, Karen “Karie” (Gerald) Gohman of St. Augusta, Judy (Doug) Streit of St. Anna, Leon (Shelly) Bauer of Carver; and brother-in-law, Bruce Koshiol of Luxemburg; nieces; nephews; three great-nieces; and many relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Anton; and sister, Laurie Koshiol.
