KARE 11 Jule Nelson Returns With Lots of Speculation – Do We Really Need to Know?
Whenever a public figure has an issue, either personal or professional, we as the public seem to think that we should be privy to any and all information about that person. Not sure why, but here we are.
THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW AND WHAT WAS PUBLICISED
Julie Nelson, evening/night anchor at KARE 11 just returned to the broadcast earlier this week after being absent since June. What we do know is that she was in a one boat boating accident in Wisconsin. We know that her husband was driving, and we know that they hit an island at a relatively high speed. They both were treated for non life-threatening injuries. We also know that alcohol was involved.
JULIE NELSON DID UPDATE HER SOCIAL PAGE TWICE DURING RECOVERY
Julie did update her social media page with some information on her progress - but not much. She posted twice, basically stating that she was still recovering, and thanked everyone for their well-wishes. The last post stated that she would be coming back in a couple of days, but is still dealing with some nerve damage in her arm/hand/etc. After she did come back to work, observation seems to point at the nerve damage is in her right arm/hand. But we don't know the extent of the damage or the prognosis.
IS THIS SOMETHING THAT WE SHOULD KNOW MORE ABOUT OR NOT
Do we need to know anything else? If you read comments on her posts, or any others with this subject matter about Julie, people are stating that they want to know the details. In fact, I've seen some comments where people are "demanding" to know.
THERE WERE A LOT OF JUDGEMENTS - AND A LOT OF WELL WISHES
Is this necessary? Do we, as viewers have the right to know? I don't think so. There are also people who think that since the incident did involve alcohol, that Julie Nelson and/or her husband now need rehab. Not sure those two go hand in hand. Just because someone drank too much and made the decision to drive doesn't mean they are automatically an alcoholic. The two don't necessarily go hand in hand. That is a judgement that most of us are not qualified to make.
THIS IS JUST AN OPINION - WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE SUBJECT
Again - do we have the right to know people's business just because they are a public figure, or do we just appreciate the fact that they are back at work and doing their job?
