Granite City Lumberjacks Open Fraser Cup Playoffs At Home Friday

The Granite City Lumberjacks will open the Fraser Cup playoffs at home in a best-of-3 series against the Mason City Toros. If the Lumberjacks advance, they would play the winner of the best-of-3 series between the Minnesota Moose and the Alexandria Blizzard.

Big Weekend Home & Home Series For Granite City

The Lumberjacks are looking for fans to pack the sawmill as they begin their playoff push towards winning another Fraser Cup in the NA3HL. Friday night, the Lumberjacks will be hosting the Mason City Toros in a best-of-3 series.

The Granite City Lumberjacks are the number 1 seed in the West Division, and by earning the top seed, they will host Mason City on Friday Night. Puck drop on Friday night at the Miller Buick GMC Rink will be at 7:30pm, so get to your fish fry early, as you'll have some playoff hockey to attend.

Game 2 will be in Mason City at 3pm, and if a game 3 is needed, it will be back at the sawmill Sunday at 6pm.

Alexandria Heads To Blaine Friday Night

On the other side of the West Division bracket, the 3-seeded Alexandria Blizzard will be traveling to Blaine to take on the 2-seeded Minnesota Moose. Game time Friday night in Blaine is 7:10pm at Fogerty Ice Arena.

Game 2 will be in Alexandria Saturday at 7:10pm, and if game 3 is needed, it will be back at Fogerty Ice Arena Sunday at 4:10pm.

Norsemen At Home This Weekend Against Minot

In NAHL hockey, there are still regular-season games to be played. The Norsemen are offering up kids who play hockey free entry if they show up to the game. The Norsemen are taking on the Minot Minotauros Friday and Saturday, game times are 7pm Friday and 6:30pm Saturday.

The Norsemen may also be seeing St. Cloud Cathedral player Griffin Sturm suit up, which should be a special moment for Sturm, as the MAC is also the home arena for Cathedral hockey.
