Ex-Apollo Coach Resigning From Teaching Position

ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud area school board is expected to approve the resignation of a suspended three sport coach at Apollo High School.

School Board chair Bruce Mohs is confirming that Nic Peterson has tendered his resignation.

Peterson is resigning from his special education post at North Junior High School.

Besides his teaching position, Peterson was the head coach of both the Apollo baseball and girls basketball teams, along with an assistant position with the football team.He was originally suspended shortly following the end of the basketball season.

Peterson was also being investigated by the school district. Due to Data Privacy Laws, no comments can be made by officials about the investigation or suspension.

The board will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. to approve the measure.
