Ellard Leroy Lemmerman, 87, Rice

April 26, 1927 - March 29, 2015

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Ellard L. Lemmerman, age 87, who passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in St. Cloud. Rev. Scott Richards will officiate and burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sauk Rapids. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Ellard was born April 26, 1927 in Sauk Rapids to Peter and Emily (Gulatus) Lemmerman. He married Elizabeth Pfau on September 21, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Ellard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids and was the owner/operator of Walstedt Saw Service in Sauk Rapids. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Ellard enjoyed hunting, fishing and working hard. He was quiet, caring and enjoy spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Linda & Marvin Toeben of Sartell, Ken & Patricia Lemmerman of Rice; grandchildren, Melissa & Nathan Gaida of St. Louis Park, Michelle & Adam Ziemer Gehrls of Sartell, Emily & Matthew Hansen of Rice and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth on March 23, 2014; brothers, Harold, Eugene, Earl, Duane, Donald and Robert; and an infant son, George.
