Early Morning Waite Park Road Rage Ends With Arrest

WAITE PARK -- A Waite Park road rage incident has landed one man in jail. Police Chief Dave Bentrud says the incident happened Tuesday around 5:00 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a complaint of someone driving recklessly on Division Street. The caller told police, that while stopped at a red light, the suspect threatened them with a gun.

The suspect's vehicle was later found at a home on 7th Avenue North in Waite Park. Officers found 24-year-old Jorge Torres inside and arrested him. He was taken to Stearns County Jail on suspicion 2nd Degree Assualt.

Police say they recovered the gun at the scene.
