Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waite Park for Doris Mae Wicker, age 84, of Waite Park who died Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids surrounded by her family. Rev. Timothy Gapinski, Rev. Ken Thielman and Rev. Mark Willenbring will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church in Waite Park. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Doris was born November 30, 1933 in St. Cloud to Emil & Elfrieda (Weyrens) Fischer. She married Elred “Ellie” Wicker on August 4, 1956 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Doris was a nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, baking, knitting and crafts. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family especially her grandchildren. Doris was a kind hearted, loving woman with a great sense of humor.

Survivors include her children, Mary Jo (Tom) Peckskamp of Sartell, Dave (Paula) of Falcon Heights, Nancy (Stephen) Cummings of Bella Vista, AR, Ellen Jo Wicker of Ajijic, Mexico, Janice Philipsek of Burnsville, Lisa (Jerry) Haus of Cold Spring, Casey Wicker of Mountain View, CA; brothers and sisters, Thomas (Mary) Fischer, Betty Seymour, Kay (Ed) Goering all of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Lindsay (Sean), Annie (Grant), Matt, David, Benjamin, Joshua, Zachary, Kendra, Kelsey, Caleb, Carson, Brianna (Eric), Caylee, Natalie; great granddaughter, Tomi. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elred on October 29, 2007; brother, Frank Fischer; sisters, Jeanette Westra and Jane Kapphahn.
