Delphine E. Blascziek, 81, St. Cloud

July 7, 1933 - February 8, 2015

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Delphine Blascziek who died Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a prayer service at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Delphine was born on July 7, 1933 in St. Cloud to Peter and Rose (Weyland) Theis. She married Vincent Blascziek on October 15, 1955 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked as a Food Service Worker in dietetics at the VA Medical Center for over thirty years until her retirement. She was known for “doing it her way.”

Survivors include her children, Carita Haehn of St. Cloud, MN , Gary (Renee) Blascziek of Albuquerque, NM, Lu Ann Borth (Bobby Liendo) of Riesel, Texas, Kevin (Jan) Blascziek of St. Joseph, MN and Duane (Brandi Young) Blascziek of St. Cloud, MN; grandchildren, Jaime (Aren) Monson, Lisa (James) Holton, Audrey Assih, Victoria Blascziek, Dylan Blascziek, Katrina (Brian) Limones, Andrea Shipley, Lindsay Borth, Brandon (Jess Travers) Borth, Morgan Blascziek; sister-in-law, Jeannie Stich of Waite Park, MN and her cats Sam and Andy and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent Blascziek on May 12, 1990; son; Richard and infant son, sisters; Genevieve Lee, Gyzala Stich, Bernice Theis, brothers; Leander Stich, Edmund Stich, Lawrence Stich, Earhart Stich, Godfrey Stich, and Eugene Stich.
