Cleaning Scam Sweeps Through Sauk Centre

SAUK CENTRE -- A Sauk Centre cleaning scam is raising concerns.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says someone is going door to door selling cleaning products.

When residents buy the item, it is not the product that was demonstrated.

Deputies say checks were cashed immediately and the seller has not gotten back to those who purchased the products as promised.

Deputies have not determined if a crime has occurred.

You are told to be cautious before making any purchases from vendors you are not familiar with.
