ST. CLOUD -- Bail has been set at $1.5 million for 22-year-old Timothy Gilles.

The Stearns County Attorney's Office charged Gilles with Fleeing A Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle Resulting in Death.

On Friday at about 5:00 p.m. officers with the Waite Park Police Department, the Stearns County Sheriff's Department, and the Central Minnesota Drug Task Force tried to stop Gilles' Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of Highway 15 and 2nd Street South.  Gilles was wanted for a felony warrant out of Wright County.  Two marked squad cars with lights and sirens activated pursued Gilles.  He went over the center median, and proceeded at a high rate of speed westbound in the eastbound lane of 2nd Street South.  At the intersection of Waite Avenue and 2nd Street South, Gilles ran a red light and struck a vehicle.

Meanwhile, authorities have released the names of the victims in the crash.  The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 30-year-old Tim Casanova of Starbuck, Minnesota.  He died at the scene.  His passenger, 22-year-old Megan Thomsen of Glenwood was taken to the hospital  where she is recovering.

Megan Thomsen was eight months pregnant.  The baby was taken via C-Section on Friday night.  That baby, named Timothy Thomsen, has now died.
