ST. CLOUD -- As Spring inches closer and the recent snow fall melts, many cities may be targets of flooding.

The American Red Cross has launched a new tool to help you prepare in case of flooding -- The Flood App.

Jason Viana is the Preparedness Manager at the American Red Cross. He says the new "flood app" walks you through what to do if you are in a flood.

The app also includes flash flood watches and warning locations.

The Red Cross launched the app yesterday (Monday) as part of National Flood Safety Awareness week.

Viana says the app even has a feature to help you located the nearest Red Cross Shelter.

The app is free and can be downloaded on any iPhone, iPad, and Android smart phone.

Viana says the flood app is another tool to help you during a natural disaster.
