MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Corrections officials say the wife of convicted auto dealer Denny Hecker has been released from an Illinois prison.

Christi Rowan served nearly 10 months behind bars for bank fraud and theft. Minneapolis Community Corrections manager says that Rowan is in transition - meaning she's either in a halfway house, work release jail or some other form of supervised custody.

Rowan served her sentence in a minimum security women's prison in Greenville, Ill., before being transferred to Minneapolis. She was convicted of lying on a bank auto loan and a W-2 form, taking money from Hecker's bank account that belonged to the bankruptcy estate and for stealing gift cards from the FBI.

Hecker is serving 10 years in prison for fraud at a prison in Duluth.
