COLD SPRING - Authorities say they have found 16 pounds of cocaine hidden in a wooden pallet.

Cold Spring Police were contacted by a local business that had discovered the drugs.  The employees noticed the narcotics when the pallet was accidentally damaged during handling.  The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was called in.  They found hollowed out boards where several plastic bags of white powder were hidden.

Depending on the purity, the street value could be anywhere from $300,000 to $700,000.

Authorities don't believe anyone at the business is involved.  They don't know how long the cocaine had been in the pallet, or how many places it had been prior to the discovery.

The case is under investigation, so the name of the business is not being released.
