UPDATE: The company that owns the SuperAmerica convenience store in Waite Park that was robbed Saturday night has released surveillance camera images to WJON.com. This story is updated with those photos.

 

WAITE PARK -- A Waite Park convenience store was robbed at gunpoint last (Saturday) night.

Police Chief David Bentrud says the incident happened at about 9:00 p.m. at the SuperAmerica store at 29 3rd Street Northeast.

Police say a man in his 40's entered the store and demanded cash. The suspect had an unknown type of handgun covered by an orange glove.  He got away with an unknown amount of cash, as well as the clerk's cell phone.

The suspect left on foot towards the Crossroads Shopping Center.

He's described as a white man in is mid 40s, about 5'10" tall and about 200 pounds.  He was wearing a grey zip-up sweatshirt, grey pants and a dark stocking type hat with a brim on it.
