Urban Coyotes In St. Cloud

The other night I was awakened by the sound of what I thought might be geese flying over, which I thought would be about right for the time of year.  But it ended quickly with little fading and they suddenly started up again.  Keep in mind I was half-awake, but as I listened more closely I wasn't sure it was actually geese, it sounded like yelping or something similar.  It went away again and since I was exhausted I barely remembered it even happening the next day.

Then yesterday morning it all came together, my wife and I were sitting at our computers and I happen to glance over and saw this coyote chewing on a deer.  I now realize those "geese" I heard the other night were apparently coyotes.

We thought it was lucky to see a coyote during the day this close.  Warning, it's a little graphic.
