ST. CLOUD - The driver of the car involved a fatal two-vehicle crash is now in fair condition at St. Cloud Hospital.

51-year-old Gail Minnerath of Little Falls was taken to the hospital in serious condition after the crash on Sunday afternoon. The passengers in the car, 12-year-old Justin Minnerath and 7-year-old Jonathan Minnerath were both killed in the crash.

As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Gail is described as being in fair condition.

The incident happened just before 1:10 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Nature Road and Great River Road, east of Bowlus. Gail Minnerath was traveling southbound on Great River Road and failed to yield for a pickup truck at the intersection. The truck hit the side of the car and both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

Justin died at the scene and Jonathan was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, were he later was pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck, 45-year-old James Fogel of Coon Rapids, was taken to St. Gabriel’s Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
