ST. CLOUD - Members of a community group that was formed to promote understanding among different groups and religions in central Minnesota is reacting to the attacks at the St. Cloud mall.

Unite Cloud founder Natalie Ringsmuth says this is one person. They do not represent a religion, or our community as a whole.

She says we want people to continue to choose peace. Ringsmuth says, we're seeing a lot of backlash on social media. There are some Somali and Muslim people who are afraid to go out today.

Ringsmuth says we need to figure out how to choose peace and in the end make this an event where we become more unified. Instead of letting this shred us to pieces.
