SAUK RAPIDS -- It may not be Halloween yet, but it doesn't mean you can't start celebrating early. This Friday United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota is inviting you to join them for their annual renaissance event.

With the opening of Molitor's Haunted Acres, the organization decided to bring Halloween a little early for their members by combing their "Oktoberfest" themed event together with the opening of the haunted acres.

Carl Newbanks is the Director of Programs and Comunity Relations for UCP. He says there will be plenty beer and food sampling, as well as music and games.

"It's just a fun event to come and hang around and do some bidding at the silent auction, do some beer tasting and food sampling. We also have games going on, that you can play to win raffle tickets"

If you are not in the mood to indulge in some food and beer sampling. You can take part in the Beard/Mustache Competition, join comic magician Jerry Fraiser, or enjoy some music by Harbor Drive Hookup.

Now this might not be your typical family-friendly event, so parents you might want to leave the kids home or get a babysitter, so you can enjoy a night out.

Full-price tickets to Oktoberfest are $50 in advance or $55 at the door. Each ticket includes all beer/food tasting, entertainment, and admission into Molitor's Haunted Acres. Tickets can be bought at ucpcentralmn.org.
