Thomas Rhett is coming to Minnesota this August to perform at WE Fest, but what would the country superstar do if he had a free day to explore?

From fishing and golf to lakeside relaxation and local food, the WE Fest Thursday headliner might find that Minnesota's favorite pastimes aren't all that different from his own.

Thomas...if you read this, there are lots of fun things for you to do while you visit Minnesota. Here are some suggestions.

THOMAS RHETT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD FIT FOR MINNESOTA

Thomas, I really think that a summer home here would be a good plan for you and your sweet family. Just think about all the fun we have to offer here! But before you dive in and get yourself a cabin, we totally get that you have a very busy life.

We all know that between soundchecks, interviews, and preparing for one of the biggest country music festivals in America, your schedule will be packed, but if you manage to sneak away for a few hours, here's what I'd suggest.

Anyone who follows you knows that your family is at the center of everything you do. Whether you're sharing stories about your wife Lauren, your daughters, or just 'life on the road, you often talk about enjoying the simple things, and that makes Lake Country a natural fit.

 THOMAS RHETT- ON THE WATER

It's easy to imagine you spending a morning on one of Detroit Lakes' many beautiful lakes. Fishing, boating, or simply relaxing on the water would be a welcome change from life on a tour bus. Minnesota's reputation as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" isn't just a slogan...it really is a lifestyle.

THOMAS RHETT- ON THE TRAILS

How about some four-wheeling? You'd probably appreciate exploring some of the area's scenic trails and parks. I believe I've heard you talk in interviews about enjoying the outdoors,  so while you're here, why not take advantage of all we have to offer?

THOMAS RHETT- WALLEYE DINNER?

Of course, no visit to Minnesota would be complete without trying some local food. Whether it's walleye at a lakeside restaurant, a juicy burger from a local favorite, or an old-fashioned Minnesota sweet treat, there's no shortage of options that would fit your laid-back personality.

THOMAS- DID YOU SAY GOLF?

Rumor has it that you enjoy a round when time allows, and the Detroit Lakes area features several highly regarded courses that would give you a chance to relax before taking the stage...or after your show, if you decide to stick around!

CAMPFIRES AND FAMILY

Most of all, though, you seem like the kind of artist who would simply enjoy sitting around a campfire with friends and family. Considering WE Fest is as much a camping tradition as it is a music festival, you might fit right in with the thousands of fans who make We-Fest a family tradition year after year. I'm sure you could walk the grounds and make plenty of friends!

Whether you try fishing on a Minnesota lake, golfing under blue skies, or simply find the time to enjoy some peace and quiet before showtime, one thing is certain. You are about to get a taste of Minnesota Nice... and we welcome you to Minnesota.
