ST. CLOUD -- It was another successful evening for the third annual BrewLash event at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

The fundraiser was held last Thursday and raised a record-setting $40,000 for the college.

This year, 11 student teams created hotdishes for guests to sample and vote for their favorite. Culinary students Colin Lerum and Mackenzie Fredrick took first-place with their Chicken Bacon Ranch Tator Tot Hotdish.

The money raised will support program needs like tools, computers, and equipment, in addition to providing scholarships for students.

As of the fall semester, 19 students have received a scholarship from the funds raised at the event.

Next year's BrewLash will be held on October 22nd.
