The Weekender: Night of Stars, Jason Schommer, and Getting Ready for Summer
A comedian hits the stage this weekend, plus an all new comedy is on for one night only. Also catch St. Cloud School District students in the Night of Stars Variety Show. For you who like to view art the College of Saint Benedict and St. John's University's Art Department Faculty have an exhibit this weekend. Finally, even though there's still snow on the ground, it's time to start thinking about your summer garden.

Night of the Stars
Paramount Theater - St. CloudLEAF and St. Cloud School District 742 present Night of the Stars. Local students take their talents to the Paramount Stage in this annual fundraiser for K-12 student activities in the St. Cloud School District. There is also an online auction to support the fundraising efforts. The auction closes on February 25th. Below is a video from last year's "Night of the Stars" performances. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $6 for students and children.

2015 CSB/SJU Faculty Art Department Show
Alice R. Rogers Gallery & Target Gallery - St. John's University - CollegevilleThe College of Saint Benedict and St. John's University Art Department Faculty are presenting their work in an exhibit at St. John's University. Work by Carol Brash, S. Dennis Frandrup, Jim Hendershot, Sam Johnson, David Paul Lange, Rachel Melis, Scott Murphy, Simon-Hòa Phan, Elaine Rutherford, Andrea Shaker, and Joe Singewald will be presented. It includes book arts, ceramics, painting, photography, printmaking, video, sculpture, and art historical research.
With Spring Break around the corner the gallery will be holding different hours.

March 7th - 8th : CLOSEDThere will be a artist reception tonight (February 19th) from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with artist talks at 6:00 p.m.

The Chipper Experience
Stephen B. Humphrey Theater - St. John's University - CollegevilleWhere comedy and magic collide, that's The Chipper Experience. Chipper Lowell was raised by circus performing parents, and has been in front of an audience since. He combines stand-up comedy, funny music, juggling, and audience interaction to make a fun afternoon for the entire family. Lowell has appeared on multiple television shows including The Tonight Show, Masters of Illusion!, and America's Funniest People. Tickets are $24 for adults, $21 for seniors, $14 for faculty and staff, and $10 for students and youth.

Wish You Were Here - Small Falls, MN USA
Great River Arts - Little FallsThis comedy is by hit comedian Jason Schommer. The play is about a group of citizens from Small Falls, MN, and takes a look at life in a small Central Minnesota town. With Little Falls, and the rest of Central Minnesota as the inspiration you are sure to laugh at all of the familiar characters seen in the show. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with drinks being served at that time, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.

Gardening Knowledge
Whitney Senior Center - St. CloudThe University of Minnesota Stearns County Master Gardeners are getting ready for spring with a gardening seminar. Some topics that will be covered will be annuals, vegetables, plant diseases, starting a garden, and pruning trees and shrubs. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required. To register you can call (320) 255-6169. The seminar is being held at the Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud.
