Teen Killed in Dirt Bike Crash Near Hillman

LEIGH TOWNSHIP -- A teenager died in a dirt bike crash just west of Hillman yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says the incident happened east of 350th Avenue in Leigh Township on 173rd Street just before 4:30 p.m.

Fourteen-year-old Damian Hebler of Hillman was traveling westbound on 173rd Street on his dirt bike when he rear-ended a tractor driven by 23-year-old Kylee Hoheisel of Hillman.

Hebler died in the crash and Hoheisel was not hurt.

Authorities says there was a helmet located near Hebler. It's believed he was wearing the helmet and police are still investigating whether or not it came off as a result of the accident.

Larsen says the crash is still under investigation.
