ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State University is sharing a newer style of music with the community.

SEAMUS is a national organization that hosts an annual electro-acoustic music conference to show students and community members how music and technology tie in together.

Host Scott Miller says the music brings a different experience to the audience.

"In some ways the sounds will be familiar, but will be presented in a way that is unusual. It's recorded music but it's presented in a concert setting with speakers and surround sound situation," says Miller.

SEAMUS has partnered with the Pickled Loon in addition to the Performing Arts Center on campus to share electro-acoustic music. Miller says everyone should get a chance to experience this type of music.

"Most of the events are here on campus, but we do have some at the Pickled Loon. And we will feature music that's more intended for that setting than say a concert hall," says Miller.

Tickets for the Pickled Loon are $3 with performances starting at 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday night.
