Stearns Passes Golf Cart Ordinance

ST. CLOUD -- Stearns County has approved a golf cart ordinance which will allow motorized golf carts and neighborhood electric vehicles on county roads located within cities.

However, the golf carts will be allowed only in cities which have adopted an ordinance establishing standards and permitting. Those cities must also formally request permission to the county board.

The golf cart ordinance was approved on a one-year trial basis and will sunset May 31st, 2015.
