SOCHI, RUSSIA - St. Cloud's Anne Schleper will begin her Olympic career this weekend.

The opening ceremonies for the Sochi Winter Olympics are tomorrow (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. our time.  Then, the U.S. Women's Hockey team will see their first action.

Their first game is against Finland at 2:00 a.m. our time on Saturday morning.  Their second game is Monday at 6:00 a.m. our time against Switzerland. And their third game is Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. our time against team Canada.

All of the games are scheduled to be broadcast live on the NBC Sports network.

Anne Schleper graduated from Cathedral High School in 2008.  She went on to win a National Championship while playing for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The U.S. Women's Hockey team has medaled in every Olympic Games, since the sport was first introduced in 1998.  They won the gold in Nagano, Japan in 1998. They won the Silver in Utah in 2002.  They won the Bronze medal in Torino, Italy in 2006. And they won the Silver in Vancouver, Canada in 2010.
