ST. CLOUD -- The City of St. Cloud has started up a free way for you and your family to get out and about this summer. Get Movin' Mondays aims to get people active.

Lynn Nuemann is the Recreation Programmer for St. Cloud. She says they started it to get people out during the summer.

"So it's the first year we've ever done this... we just wanted to give families a way to get out to some of the parks and do some learning activities and some crafts and have free snacks, just something to get them out of the house and enjoy our parks."

They kicked it off Monday at Lake George with a Learn to Fish/Tie-Dye day.

The remaining events are:

  • Seberger Park - July 10 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Learn to Swim, St. Cloud Recycled Art Project Shop (SCRAPS) Day.
  • Riverside Park - August 14 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Frisbee Golf/Paint-a-rock.

Kids will have to be accompanied by an adult, no pre-registration is required.
