St. Cloud, Sartell-St. Stephen Districts Reach Tentative Teacher Contract Deals

ST. CLOUD/SARTELL - Two area school districts have reached a tentative contract agreement with their teachers union.

The St. Cloud Area Education Association President Mary Broderick says the union and the district have agreed to teachers raises both years of the contract.

District 742 has about 850 teachers.  The school board has scheduled a special meeting at 8:00 a.m. Monday to vote on the contract.  The teachers will vote later next week.

The Sartell-St. Stephen school district has agreed to a 2 percent salary increase for the teachers in the first year, and a 3 percent increase in 2014-2015. Sartell-St. Stephen has about 250 teachers in the district.  The school board will vote on the contract during their regular meeting on Monday night.
