Shop By Candlelight In This Picturesque Minnesota Town

Shopping at an indoor shopping mall certainly has its perks, like warmth, convenience and having everything under one roof. However, outdoor shopping experiences like Albertville's Outlet Mall can be a lot of fun too.

The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce is hosting "Hometown for the Holidays" in 2024. In addition to seasonal lights and decorations, the picturesque Minnesota town is also hosting theme nights.

STILLWATER CHAMBER:

"Take a stroll through the streets of Stillwater and be taken to a picturesque Hallmark movie "Christmas Village" right here in the Birthplace of Minnesota! Mainstreet Stillwater and the St. Croix Riverfront will be alive with holiday spirit, featuring seasonal lights, decorations, and festive themed events! Experience the holidays of old while making new memories."

Among the theme nights this season are a series of 'Luminary Thursdays' - a chance to walk and shop throughout a downtown Stillwater illuminated by candlelight.

There are two opportunities remaining this year to shop the Christmas Village under the warm glow of candles: Thursday, December 12th and Thursday, December 19th.

In addition to the 'Luminary Thursdays,' Stillwater is also hosting a Candy Town Weekend from December 12th through the 15th.

On Friday the 13th Christmas lovers can participate in a Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt- search for ornaments at participating stores to complete your stamp card.

Saturday's events include a Gingerbread Building Contest, Victorian Carolers from 2-4 p.m. and a visit from Frozen's Elsa, Olaf and Sven.

And, on Sunday, Santa will be 'roaming mainstreet' and handing out candy canes from 2-4 p.m..
