RICE -- A popular Benton County spot for spring fishing will have some temporary parking restrictions in place.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says many anglers gather at the bridge on the north end of Little Rock Lake and fish off the bridge where Little Rock Creek enters the lake. Heck says when cars are parked on both sides of County Road 2, it creates a danger for pedestrians in the area.

The sheriff says no parking is being allowed on the north side of County Road 2 near the bridge, however parking will still be allowed on the south side of the roadway.

Heck says they continue to work with the county's Public Works department to develop a permanent solution to provide a safe environment for anglers and hopes plans to draw down the lake in 2018 will allow them to make permanent safety improvements.
