ST. CLOUD - You might notice a little extra air traffic in the skies over St. Cloud this weekend.  St. Cloud State University is hosting a flying competition at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.

Professor Steve Anderson says the aviation students will have a chance to see how their skills measure up.

Anderson says the safety competition is held annually at various midwest cities.

Besides SCSU, the University of Dubuque, Minnesota State-Mankato, the University of North Dakota, and the University of Minnesota-Crookston will be there.

The event starts today (Thursday) with some ground events, and the flying events will be Friday and Saturday.
