Sauk Rapids-Rice Schools To Ask For $86.9 Million In Bonding Proposal
SAUK RAPIDS -- At Monday's Sauk Rapids-Rice district meeting, the school board hopes to approve an $86.9 million dollar bonding proposal.
One part of the proposal is for $56.9 million dollars that covers:
- New elementary school
- Improving all district sites
- New athletic facilities at the high school
Also included is expanding early childhood learning for Hillside Early Childhood Center, and Rice Elementary School.
The other half of the proposal is $30 million to rebuild Pleasantview Elementary at it's current location.
If the board approves the bonding proposal, a special election will be held on May 23rd, where the voters will be asked to vote in the options above.
