Sauk Rapids-Rice voters in February approved a referendum question to build a new $17.7 million outdoor activity complex. It passed with 1,661 yes votes and 1,416 no votes.

Being a 3-year varsity starter is a great accomplishment for anyone but doing so as a 9th grader is incredible. Freshman Ava Knutson is one of the top pitchers for the Sauk Rapids-Rice softball team and has been a varsity starter since she was a 7th grader.

The top ten boys basketball rankings are out this week according to Minnesota Basketball News. Both Albany and Sauk Rapids-Rice find themselves near the top of the polls.

Both the Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice boys basketball teams saw their seasons come to an end Wednesday night in the Section 8-4-A quarterfinals. The Sabres lost at top seeded Rogers 60-44 while Sauk Rapids-Rice fell at home to 5th seeded Moorhead 73-72 Wednesday night.

Sauk Rapids-Rice high school interim principal Sandy Logrono will soon have the interim tag removed.
