WATAB TOWNSHIP -- A Sartell man is in critical condition after falling through thin ice.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office says the man fell through the ice on Little Rock Lake in Watab Township just after 11:00 a.m. this morning (Friday).

A witness says the man was about 200 yards from the shoreline when he fell through.

Rescuer's found the victim submerged in about 10 feet of water just after 12:15 p.m.

Deputies identify the man as 30-year-old Joshua Johnson, who was fishing prior to falling through the ice.

Johnson was rushed to the St. Cloud Hospital where he is currently in critical condition.

Deputies are reminding you to stay off any ice found on the lakes, rivers or ponds at this time because the ice is still too thin.
