ST. CLOUD -- You're invited to a Thanksgiving dinner later this week.

The Roosevelt Boys & Girls is holding their annual Thanksgiving event Friday night. The event includes a meal and activities for families to enjoy.

Dominique Hollomon is the Roosevelt Unit Director. She says the dinner has been a tradition for the last seven years and is a well attended event.

We realize that a lot of our families are not natives of Minnesota or St. Cloud and their families are far away. So it's a way so we can bring all our families together because in a way we are an extended family.

The dinner is free and open to all Kidstop and Boys and Girls Club families and the community as well.

Hollomon says the night is a great way to bring people together and is put on by their staff, volunteers and kids from the club.

It's one of the biggest events our junior staff at the club do, so they will serve guests, greet guests, run games and activities. We have a lot of hands in this event.

The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt club. Hollomon says the Roosevelt Club will be closed Friday to set up for the event.
