ST. CLOUD - Emergency crews have rescued a total of eight people from the swollen Sauk River in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud Fire Department Battalion Chief Jerry Raymond says the group was tubing down the river when they got into trouble.

The Sauk River is very high right now, and is at flood stage due to the recent heavy rains.

The incident began around 3:00 p.m. and by 3:30 p.m. everyone had been pulled to safety.
