Report: St. Cloud Residents Have Nearly $4,600 In Credit Card Debt

ST. CLOUD - Our first credit card statements are starting to come in the mail since the busy holiday shopping season. Was there a moment of shock when you opened up that bill?

WalletHub has released a report on U.S. cities, and the average amount credit card debt we have.

According to their study, St. Cloud residents have an average credit card debt of $4,591. They say it will cost you an additional $1,698 in interest to pay off that debt. And, it's going to take you an average of 56 months - or 4 1/2 years - to pay off that debt.

Americans are projected to have racked up $80 billion in credit card debt at the end of 2016.
