Paynesville Woman Hurt in Broadside Crash

CHIPPEWA COUNTY - A Paynesville woman was hurt in a broadside crash in Clara City on Friday night.

The crash happened just before 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 7.

The State Patrol says 72-year-old Veronica Kunstleben of Paynesville was going north on Highway 23. At the same time, a truck driven by 33-year-old Phillip Schmidt of Shakopee was going west on Highway 7. Both vehicles collided in the intersection.

Kunstleben was taken to Willmar Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Schmidt was not hurt.
