Catch Jay And The Americans Live At The Paramount Center

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Some big shows are coming in July to the big stage at the Paramount Center for the Arts, but tickets are going fast.

Jay and the Americans will be here on Thursday, July 9th, at 1:30 p.m. Executive Director Gretchen Boulka says this is the group's first time playing at the Paramount.

We're excited to have them come; they've never been to the Paramount before.  This is one of those groups out of the sixties that shaped a lot of Rock N Roll history.  They have some famous songs like "This Magic Moment", "Some Enchanted Evening", and "Walkin in the Rain".

Limited seats remain for that show.

The July movie at the Paramount is "The Parent Trap". That will be shown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14th. Tickets are $5.

On Tuesday, July 28th The Glenn Miller Orchestra will be on stage at 1:30 p.m. Boulka says they are always a fan favorite.

They've been to the Paramount a number of times, and this is just one of those groups that are eternally popular.  People just love this music; it's a very familiar form of jazz that people remember growing up with.

Tickets are becoming limited for this show.

Wrapping up the main stage shows for July will be That Arena Rock Show on July 30th at 7:30 p.m.

The Paramount Center for the Arts has also announced its fall season schedule of live performances, visual arts classes, exhibitions, and community arts experiences. Tickets and class registrations are available now.

Highlights include ventriloquist and America's Got Talent winner Terry Fator, Shakespeare's Othello, and Dr. Scott Bonn's Serial Killers presentation.

The Paramount Center for the Arts includes an 800-seat historic theatre as well as over 15,000 square feet of visual arts studios and three gallery spaces.
