The St. Cloud State University men's hockey team snapped a three-game winless streak in overtime against Northern Michigan University on Saturday.

SCSU got in front early, scoring three in the first period. The Tigers answered with one in the second, but the Huskies notched their fourth to push the lead out to 4-1.

Northern Michigan had a huge third period, scoring three goals and tying the game 4-4 to send it into overtime. In the extra period, Nick Perbix scored to give the Huskies the 5-4 win.

Easton Brodzinski finished with two goals for SCSU, and Sam Hentges and Spencer Meier each added one. David Hrenak made 18 saves and allowed four goals.

The Huskies improve to 2-2-4 and 1-0-4 in overtime games. They will host Colorado College for in two-game weekend series starting Friday. Pre-game starts at 7:00 p.m. on The River 96.7 FM.
