Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Mary E. “Molly” VanHove, age 77, who died Friday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. A private family inurnment will be in the Emden Cemetery in Renville at a later date.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 17, 2016 in the St. Boniface Church Narthex in Cold Spring. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

Mary was adopted by Francis and Mary Russell at 7 months old. She married Yogi Fuchs and they had three girls; Debbie, Cindy and Mary. Molly worked at Fingerhut and in 1971 she was a teacher’s aide in Cold Spring. In 1976 she moved to Willmar where she worked in Bethesda Nursing Home. In 1979 Molly married Ervin VanHove in Cara City. In 1986 Ervin and Molly went to Texas with Ervin’s company. They spent 5 years down there. Ervin went back working with heavy equipment and Molly went to work at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo. She worked at the nursing home for 15 years. In 2002 Ervin passed away and in 2010 Molly came back to Cold Spring to be closer to her children. Molly volunteered at Assumption Nursing Home and helped at church once in a while.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Brett) Cox, Cindy (Jim) Tamble, Mary (Rick) Olson; siblings, Eileen (Chuck) McKinnon, Tom Russell; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; infant daughter, Linda; brother, Tim Russell and a sister-in-law, Betsy Russell.
