UPDATE: Man Killed While Working on Farm Near Paynesville

PAYNESVILLE- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says a man working on a farm near Paynesville has died after he was hit by a front-end loader.

The accident happened at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday at 26162 240th Street in Zion Township.

Authorities say 69 year old farm worker John Schoenberg was struck by the large front loader driven by Victor Rojas and was seriously injured.

Deputies say Schoenberg was walking in an area normally not used by pedestrians, and Rojas was unable to see him.

Schoenberg was transported to the Paynesville hospital where he later died.

St. Martin Rescue, Paynesville Ambulance, and the Stearns County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident. This incident remains under investigation.
