Man Arrested, Head-Butts Officer, Receives More Charges

ST. CLOUD - A man is in jail after allegedly head-butting a police officer following a fight with a woman.

Officers say they were called to the 300 block of 7th Avenue South on Sunday at about 1a.m. after reports of a man and woman arguing.

21 year old Brandon Reed fled the scene but was caught on foot a short time later. He was arrested for noise violation, disorderly conduct and fleeing.

Reed then head-butted one of the officers while they were attempting to put him in the back of the squad car. He received an additional charge for assaulting the officer after that.

No injuries were sustained during the incident.

Reed is being held in Stearns County Jail.
