Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Lloyd H. Keehr, age 81, who passed away Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Paul Cloeter and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church. Trinity Lutheran prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lloyd was born March 8, 1933 in St. Cloud to Herbert & Evelyn (Parkins) Keehr. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1951. Lloyd married Marjean Wippich on June 28, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids. He worked as a grain sampler in St. Cloud, then in the Great Northern car shops, a route salesman for Jewel Tea Co., a route manager for Eibert Coffee Co., then Ross Veeser Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids, Sauk Rapids Laundromat, and finally managed the Sauk Rapids Municipal Liquor Store from 1969 until his retirement in 1986. Lloyd was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, life member of the Sauk Rapids Lions, and also was a volunteer fireman in Sauk Rapids for 20 years. He enjoyed ice fishing, camping with his children and grandchildren, hunting, and traveling across the U.S. in the motorhome. Lloyd was gregarious, a great storyteller, had a great sense of humor, and was always happy with a smile on his face.

Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Marjean of Sauk Rapids; son, Mark (Linda) of Bozeman, MT; daughter, Terree (Steve) Lindvall of Rice; brother, Jerome (Tara) of Edina; grandchildren, Joshua (Katie) Keehr of Bozeman, MT and Dr. Leah (Ian) Anderson of Bozeman, MT; and great grandchildren, Kieran Anderson, Freja Anderson, Scarlett Keehr and Stetson Keehr. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Keehr; and sister, LaVonne Bergstraser.
