Leaders Gather to Discuss Future of St. Cloud Airport

ST. CLOUD -- A big meeting tomorrow morning in the ongoing effort to attract an air carrier to St. Cloud.

St. Cloud area businesses, community leaders and members of the public will gather at the St. Cloud Public Library. They'll hear from several speakers who are involved in transportation, economic development and air travel.

Dave Gruenes is with the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. He says it is important to get everybody involved because air travel is an economic engine for communities and benefits businesses both big and small.

The Executive Director of the Metropolitan Airport Commission, Jeff Hamiel, will be on hand to talk about the national view of air service. New Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation President John Kramer will also talk about his experiences in attracting airlines to other communities he's worked for.

The meeting is free and open to the public. It starts at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow.
